The project started from the observation of how in cities, be they international metropolises or more liveable Italian towns, multiple architectures and environments of passage between different areas present lines, volumes, geometries that are often associated in terms of shapes and references. They are "Connections" not only environmental, but also "Human" in which the physical presence underlines the contents of life and social usefulness. Hence the title of the project “Urban Connections” which brings together its symbolism. I therefore thought of associating structures taken from large international cities, such as London, Tokyo and Milan, with other smaller Italian ones to form triptychs that highlight their correlations.

Urban Connections

........and I'll come looking for you

This project was implemented in collaboration with the  school of Italian language for immigrants run by Caritas Ambrosiana.

The immigrant is generally viewed with distrust, kept at a distance and normally avoided any kind of relationship. He is alien and indifferent, almost a ghost. The project in its staging aims to induce the visitor to a gesture, however small, of motion towards the person, of a minimal participation in his history, his desires, his affections, his being.

The exhibit is made up of two parts. The first one  is like a catalog of small details (dress, jewelry,hair....) of the people portrayed. attached to their personal handwritten stories. This is the key to the search among a series of studio portraits, a way to give them a dignity even photographically, that is the second exhibit part.
